The question may require you to look for ideas that are mentioned, that are not mentioned, or that are true or false. This can be quite tough because you will be choosing from a list of choices that all seem correct.
- There are three main possible choices for each idea. It may be expressed in the text in a different twist using different words and phrases, it may utterly contradict the next and be incorrect or it may not be in the text at all.
- To answer the questions, you should carefully read each idea and then scan the text to find where or if it is mentioned. Be reminded that you should scan for ideas and not for particular words because chances are ideas will expressed in using different words and phrases.
- Watch out for subtleties or words that are important but not obvious, specifically modifying words such as more, all and totally for these can affect whether an idea is correct or incorrect.
